School Board Members

The School Board of Vintage Christian Academy is composed of experienced leaders who are committed to the success of our school.

They work closely with the Head of School to develop and implement policies and strategies that ensure the best possible education for our students. Through their guidance and oversight, the School Board plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards and values that are at the core of our school community.

Their dedication and expertise provide essential support and guidance to our faculty and staff as we strive to achieve our mission of providing an exceptional Christian education to our students.

STEPHEN MARTIN
President

Stephen Martin is the founder and visionary of Vintage Christian Academy. He brings over 20 years of experience in ministry and leadership to the school. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stephen began serving in ministry as a teenager and interned at his hometown church, Church On The Move. He holds a Bachelor's degree in humanities and secondary education from Lindenwood University in Saint Louis, Missouri, and is certified in the DISC Personality Profile and The Big 5 Personality Traits model.

In 2013, Stephen and his family moved to Texas and planted Vintage Church just outside of Fort Hood, the largest military base in the United States. Today, Vintage Church is a multi-site church of thousands and continues to make a significant impact in the Central Texas region. With his wealth of experience, Stephen is excited to bring his expertise to Vintage Christian Academy and oversee the History and Bible departments.


JOSHUA HARRIS
Fundraising & Community Outreach

Joshua Harris is an experienced leader and advocate for the discipleship and the local church. He is the president and executive director of Oak Ridge Ministries, a non-profit Christian character-building ministry. With two locations and a transition house, Oak Ridge provides men struggling with drug and alcohol addiction an opportunity to spend six months with God and other Christians learning how to find freedom from life's hurts through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

In addition to his work at Oak Ridge, Joshua has a sales and marketing background spanning from 1992 to 2005. He has also served in youth ministry and recovery outreach from 2006 to 2010, becoming licensed and ordained in 2008. Joshua graduated from UMHB with a degree in Christian Ministry/Biblical Studies in 2017 and received certification in Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2021.

We are thrilled to have Joshua on our school board, where he will be overseeing fundraising and community outreach. With his passion for the local church and extensive experience in ministry and leadership, we believe he will be a valuable asset to our team.


KYLE LOFTIN
Business & Finance

With over 30 years of experience in the Killeen/Temple/Belton area, Kyle Loftin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Vintage Christian Academy as the overseer of business and finance. Kyle's Christian upbringing, rooted in a family of pastors and deacons, has instilled in him a strong sense of service and leadership. He accepted Christ at the young age of 12 and went on to graduate from Texas A&M University. After serving in the US Army as a logistics officer, Kyle settled in the Central Texas region where he has been actively involved in his local church, holding leadership positions such as Executive Vice President, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the School Board.

Kyle's professional background includes management positions at Walmart Distribution Center in Temple and Baylor Scott & White in Medical Records and Materials Management. Currently, he is a financial advisor and runs a financial services practice in Harker Heights. In his free time, Kyle enjoys hunting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. With his deep understanding of business and finance, Kyle is well-equipped to lead Vintage Christian Academy towards financial stability and growth.


REBEKAH MILLS
Classical Education

Rebekah Mills, PA-C, is a highly experienced physician assistant with over a decade of experience working in healthcare. She has been with Baylor Scott and White since February 2008, serving as a hospitalist PA, providing inpatient care and consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients.

Rebekah's education is extensive, with a certification in Lifestyle Medicine from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern, an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies from a missionary training school in Oaxaca, Mexico and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University.

Rebekah's passion for classical education stemmed from classically homeschooling her three children for the last six years. The combination of her extensive educational background, healthcare experience, and personal desire to continue this education for her own children, makes her an invaluable asset to the Vintage Christian Academy school board. As the classical education expert, she will bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to the board, helping to guide the school's education programs and ensuring that the students receive a well-rounded and academically rigorous education.


DR. KYLA MARTIN
Math & Sciences

Dr. Kyla Martin is a highly qualified and experienced medical professional, who has dedicated her career to helping others. She is board certified in family medicine, having completed her residency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas, and is currently working as an adult inpatient hospitalist at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

Dr. Martin received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Denver, Colorado, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lindenwood University in St Louis, Missouri. She is also certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a state medical license in Texas.

Throughout her career, Dr. Martin has held various positions including, Brigade Surgeon, Chief Resident, Family Medicine, and Inpatient Medical Director/Hospitalist. Additionally, she also served as Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland and has been published in "Evidence-Based Practice" journal.

As an experienced medical professional, Dr. Martin is committed to providing the highest quality of care to her patients. She is also passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals, and is dedicated to advancing the field of medicine through her research and scholarly work.

Dr. Kyla Martin is currently the Assistant Director of Inpatient Medicine at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. With her extensive education and professional experience in the field of medicine, she is excited to bring her expertise to Vintage Christian Academy to oversee the Math and Sciences.
